Venmo Causes
Overview
For this concept project, we were tasked with adding functionality to the Venmo iOS app to allow Venmo users to send money via the app to causes they care about. Over the course of 2 weeks, we conducted user interviews and competitive analysis to develop and test sketches, paper prototypes, and ultimately high-fidelity digital prototypes.

Our Approach
As designers with very different strengths and approaches, our first task was to draft a team plan and establish how we would work together, especially in making creative decisions.
To maximize productivity, we decided that our overall workflow would involve diverging to independently generate ideas, with regular meetings to converge and integrate our perspectives and designs.
Crucially, we needed a structure for handling differences in approach, so we decided on a top-down method of design. As a team, we would agree upon high-level approaches to design and clear design goals. This meant that low-level design decisions were left to the discretion of each team member.
Conflicts were resolved first and foremost by user testing and feedback. In cases where user desires and needs were ambiguous, we relied on open, time-boxed discussion and voting.
